Invitation: Together Loud – A Choral Reading from Banned Books
Invitation to the Reopening & Community Event at the Nuremberg City Library (Zentrum) on November 3, 2026
Two reasons to stop by: On November 3, our library is celebrating its reopening! Come on by, take a first look at our newly redesigned spaces, and browse through our books at your leisure—and go to a special highlight right after your visit:
Books that scare people? We’ll read them anyway—out loud!
As the finale of the event series organized by the Nuremberg City Library and the Nuremberg Education Center, we’re taking a stand against censorship and for the fundamental right to education. While in the U.S. more and more books on topics such as race, gender, and sexuality are being banned from school libraries, we’re giving these works a voice again on the day of the U.S. midterm elections.
