ENGLISH CONVERSATION COURSES

For all speaking levels and interests

Let’s talk about anything and everything! 

Our english Conversation Groups are taught exclusively by native speakers. These take place on a weekly, bimonthly, or monthly basis. Our conversation courses offer you the opportunity to improve your English in an easy, calm environment. We guarantee that your English skills will be honed in practically no time! You will also get to meet interesting new people from around the area.

Conversation courses:

  • are ideal for those who wish to practice their English conversational skills
  • are held in small groups by native speakers (also online possible)
  • Duration: depending on the course or program, usually about 1.5 hours
  • are easy-going and welcoming environments

Morning Conversation Group

Different topics relating to American culture will be discussed in a small group. The discussions will be based on texts, but the emphasis of the course will be on improving conversation skills, building vocabulary and on gaining a deeper understanding of the American way of life.

Online Conversation Course

Would you like to improve your English from home? Then our Online Conversation Course is just the thing for you! The course focuses on improving conversational skills within a small group of six people, as well as expanding vocabulary through texts and short videos.

8x Thursdays from 9:00 to 10:30 am 
Cost: 130€ (120€ for members of the Förderverein).

English Language Discussion Group

Discuss everyday topics in an informal atmosphere within a group that meets regularly and enjoys speaking together! Current dates can be found in our language course calendar.

Getting Started Again: Conversation with Confidence (A2/B1)

Improve your language skills and gain more confidence in your English abilities within a small group (maximum of 7 participants). If you lack regular contact with the English language, this course offers you the chance to practice and enhance your English. Engaging topics and a wide range of language-related activities from English-language media (all available in our library) are the cornerstones of this course. The goal is to become more confident in using English and to develop a better understanding of English conversation.  Participants should have approximately three to five years of English instruction from school.

Nuremberg Toastmasters

Toastmasters provides you with excellent opportunities to enhance your English conversational skills, overcome stage fright in public speaking, and acquire new skills that will help you achieve even greater success. Join the Toastmasters meetings at the DAI Nürnberg!


1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 7:00 to 9:00 pm
