Five Little Indians follows five Indigenous survivors of Canada’s residential school system as they try to rebuild their lives after leaving the school. Set primarily in Vancouver, the novel traces the very different paths of Kenny, Lucy, Howie, Clara, and Maisie, showing how the trauma they experienced as children continues to shape their relationships, choices, identities, and ability to find stability as adults.
